What Gets Covered Across Platforms
Universal Feed Formats
The Universal feed safe zone uses 15-20% margins on each side to account for the most restrictive platform. Your creative will clear every feed format covered in this tool, but you lose usable canvas - use per-platform templates when you have the budget for separate files.
Universal templates are intentionally conservative. Expect more dead space around the edges compared to platform-specific templates.
Universal Story / Reels
The Universal 9:16 template is the most constrained format - it accounts for TikTok's 22.4% right column, Meta Reels' 23.4% bottom zone, and every platform's top bar simultaneously. The resulting safe rectangle is noticeably smaller than any individual platform's. Only recommend this when you have zero bandwidth for platform-specific 9:16 variants.
