How much does Meta's Ads MCP cost in 2026?
Free during open beta. No subscription, no per-call fees. Here's the catch.

Pricing model
How Meta's Ads MCP pricing works
Free during open beta. No tiers, no caps, no per-seat charges. Every enabled account gets the same 29 tools.
The catch is scope, not price. One platform (Meta), one job (campaign management + insights). First-party benchmarks are genuinely exclusive. No competitor research, no creative, no other platforms.
Rate limits apply: 4 budget changes per ad set/hour, 10 spend-cap changes per account/day (standard Marketing API limits).
If you need competitor tracking, creative tools, and Google Ads on top, the free MCP is one piece of a $130+/month stack. AdKit bundles that for $49/month.

Glossary
What these features actually mean
Open beta
Meta launched the Ads MCP in open beta on April 29, 2026. "Open" means there's no application process, but access is still gated by a server-side flag on each ad account. Most US accounts have access. Other regions are being added gradually.
OAuth scope tiers
Meta's MCP supports three permission levels: read-only (pull data), read/write (create and modify campaigns), and read/write/financial (modify budgets and spend caps). You pick the scope during OAuth setup. This is a real safety feature: you can limit your agent to read-only if you just want reporting.
Product catalog tools
10 of the 29 tools (34%) are dedicated to product catalog management: creating catalogs, diagnosing errors, inspecting feed rules, retrieving products. Useful for e-commerce advertisers running Advantage+ catalog campaigns. Not relevant if you don't have a product catalog.
Keep in mind
Hidden costs and fine print
Not everyone has access yet
Rolling out account-by-account via server-side flag. US first, ANZ in H2 2026, EU/APAC unclear. OAuth succeeds for everyone, so you won't know you're blocked until you try.
PAUSED is not a draft
Campaigns land PAUSED in Ads Manager, but the agent can activate them with `ads_activate_entity` in the same session. No separate draft layer.
Post-beta pricing is unknown
Meta hasn't announced what happens after beta. Likely stays free since it drives ad spend, but no guarantee.
~55,000 tokens for tool definitions
29 tools eat ~55,000 tokens just for definitions. That's a big chunk of your agent's working memory.
Real costs
What you'll actually pay each month
Based on typical advertiser needs. Meta's MCP is free, but the full workflow often isn't.
| Scenario | Plan | Monthly cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo marketer, Meta ads only, no extras | Meta MCP | $0/mo | Free MCP + your ad spend. Works if you don't need research or creative tools. |
| Solo marketer wanting competitor tracking + creative | Meta MCP + other tools | $80-130/mo | Free MCP + competitor tracker + creative tool + ad library. Three subscriptions. |
| Marketer running Meta + Google Ads | Meta MCP + Google solution | $50-100/mo | Free Meta MCP + separate Google Ads management tool. |
| Full workflow: research, create, launch, multi-platform | AdKit | $49/mo | Everything in one product. Meta + Google, competitor tracking, creative, draft-first MCP. |
Verdict
Is Meta's free MCP enough?
For campaign management, yes. Meta's free MCP handles creation, monitoring, and bid adjustments. The first-party benchmarks are genuinely useful.
For the full ads workflow, no. No competitor tracking, no creative generation, no Google Ads, no draft layer. A marketer's day isn't just campaign management.
AdKit at $49/month covers the full loop. Is it worth $49 more than free? Depends on whether your job goes beyond managing campaigns.
Consider AdKit
Competitor research, creative generation, Meta + Google, and a draft system that keeps your agent out of your live account. $49/month.
