How Windsor.ai pricing works

Windsor.ai pricing has two dimensions: data sources and monthly active rows.

Data sources = how many platform connections you can have. Google Ads, Meta Ads, Shopify, HubSpot: each counts as one source. The Basic plan limits you to 3, Standard to 7, Plus to 10. Need more sources? You upgrade the entire plan.

Monthly Active Rows (MAR) = the volume of data synced each month. Plans include 5M to 50M rows. Go over the cap and overage kicks in at $4 to $20 per million extra rows (cheaper on higher plans). A single ad account with moderate campaign volume generates 100k+ rows per month.

The 30-day trial gives full access to all features and sources. After that, the free plan drops to 1 source and 1 account. Enough to test the product, not enough for real work.

Windsor is priced for data volume, not ad management. Agencies with many sources and high row volume reach $300 to $600/month quickly. AdKit charges $29/month flat for 1 account or $49/month for unlimited, with no source limits, no row metering, and no overage.

Glossary

What these features actually mean

Monthly Active Rows (MAR)

Windsor counts the number of data rows processed/synced each month. Each plan has an included allowance (5M-50M). Rows exceeding the cap incur overage charges ($3-$20 per million extra rows). A single Google Ads account with 50 campaigns reporting daily metrics can generate hundreds of thousands of rows per month.

Data sources

Each unique platform connection counts as one data source. Google Ads = 1 source. Meta Ads = another. Google Analytics = another. The Basic plan limits you to 3 total, regardless of how many accounts within each source.

Windsor MCP

Model Context Protocol endpoint at mcp.windsor.ai. 6 read-only tools let AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) query your connected marketing data in natural language. No SQL required. Cannot take any action on connected platforms.

Destination tasks

Automated syncs that push data to a destination (BigQuery, Looker Studio, etc.). Free has 5, Basic has 5, Standard and above have unlimited. Each destination-account pair counts as one task.

Keep in mind

Hidden costs and fine print

Data source limits force expensive upgrades

Each plan caps how many sources you can connect (1 on Free, 3 on Basic, 7 on Standard). Need an 8th source? Jump from $118/month to $299/month.

Row overage adds up silently

Plans include a monthly row allowance (5M-50M). Go over and you're billed $4-$20 per additional million rows, depending on plan. High-volume accounts can see surprise bills.

Read-only: you still need tools to act

Windsor shows you the data. It cannot create ads, adjust budgets, pause campaigns, or do anything about what the data reveals. You need separate tools for the action side.

Billing practices criticized

Users report surprise auto-renewals at higher tiers, slow refund processing, and difficulty downgrading plans.

Verdict

Is Windsor.ai worth the price?

Windsor.ai solves a real problem well. If your team needs marketing data flowing into BI dashboards or warehouses, the pricing is competitive (cheaper than Supermetrics at comparable tiers).

The free tier works for testing, and the 30-day trial gives full access. For cross-channel reporting and attribution, it is a solid pick.

But Windsor does not run your ads. It reads data. It cannot create campaigns, adjust budgets, generate creative, or track competitor ads. If you need to act on insights, not just see them, you need additional tools.

AdKit starts at $29/month for the full ads workflow: competitor tracking, 500,000+ ad library, AI creative, campaign management via MCP, and draft-first safety. If your job is running ads, not building dashboards, that is the tool to compare.

AdKit

Consider AdKit

AdKit goes beyond reading data. Competitor research, creative generation, campaign management, and a draft system that keeps your live account safe. From $29/month for 1 account, $49/month for unlimited.

Alternative

Meet the Windsor.ai alternative that goes beyond analytics

Windsor.ai pipes your marketing data into BI tools and warehouses. AdKit does the other half: tracks every competitor ad, generates creative from it, and launches campaigns through a draft-first MCP. Windsor reads your data. AdKit runs your ads.
