AdKit

Connect Grok Bot to AdKit

Add AdKit to Grok Bot as a custom MCP server and manage Meta, Google, TikTok, and Reddit ads in plain language.

Add AdKit to Grok Bot as a custom MCP server, then manage Meta, Google, TikTok, and Reddit ads from a normal conversation. Connectors are account-wide, so every Bot you run can use AdKit once it is added.

Grok Bot is the desktop and mobile app you sign in to with a Cursor account. It is not the same as Grok chat on grok.com, which has its own connectors page.

Setup

  1. Open Plugins. In the Grok Bot app, go to Settings → Plugins. If you haven't installed the app yet, get it from x.ai/bot and sign in with your Cursor account.
  2. Add AdKit as a custom MCP server. Use the name AdKit and this URL:
    https://mcp.adkit.so

You can also ask your Bot to do it. Send this in a chat and confirm when it shows you the name and URL:
Add a custom MCP server called adkit at https://mcp.adkit.so

  3. Authorize. Grok Bot opens a browser window. Sign in to AdKit and allow access. No API key needed.
  4. Attach it to a task. In a chat, type @ and pick AdKit so the Bot uses it for that task.

Check it worked

Send this in a new chat. It confirms Grok Bot can actually use AdKit:

Use the AdKit connector you just added and run the AdKit checkin tool with agentId: "grok".
If sign-in is needed, send me the link and wait for me to finish.
Then tell me if AdKit is connected and ready. If not, tell me what failed.

What you can do

Once connected, Grok Bot can pull your live campaigns, draft budget and targeting changes, generate ad creatives, and research competitors. It also runs scheduled routines, so you can have a Bot send you a performance recap every Monday. Nothing goes live on its own: every change is saved as a draft for you to review and publish.

Troubleshooting

You can't add a custom server. On a Cursor Teams or Enterprise plan, your admin decides which MCP servers members can use. Ask them to allow https://mcp.adkit.so from the Plugins page of the Cursor dashboard.

You connected the wrong AdKit account. The sign-in step uses whoever is already logged in to AdKit in that browser. If you use several browsers or AdKit accounts, log in to the right one at app.adkit.so first. Then remove AdKit under Settings → Plugins and add it again.

AdKit is added but the Bot doesn't use it. Type @ and attach AdKit to the task, or name it in your message ("use the AdKit connector"). Long chats sometimes hold on to a broken session, so try a new chat too.

It worked before and stopped. The authorization expires after about 30 days without use. Reset it: revoke the old connection under Devices & Keys, remove AdKit in Grok Bot, and add it again.
