Ad testing is the practice of systematically experimenting with different ad variations to find what works best for your audience, budget, and goals.
Instead of guessing which headline, image, or CTA will perform, you run controlled experiments and let the data decide. It's the difference between "I think this ad looks good" and "this ad generates 40% more conversions."
Why Ad Testing Matters

Common Ad Testing Methods

- CTA: "Start Free Trial" vs. "See Pricing" vs. "Learn More" can shift conversion rates significantly. But popularity doesn't mean optimal for your case: the best-performing CTA depends on your funnel stage and offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Start with 3-5 variations per ad set. Fewer than 3 doesn't give the algorithm enough options to optimize. More than 5 splits your budget too thin, making it harder to reach statistical significance. As you get more data, narrow down to 2-3 top performers and iterate from there.
